1650 cub brake spring

Have a Cub Cadet, 1650, hydrostatic,the brake return spring rusted out and broke, got a new one and I have no clue what it hooked to. This spring is 6"long with hook on each side, one hook longer that the other. All it does is hold the brake pedal up. If anyone with a 1650 or similar, could look at theirs and tell me where the hooks hook to I'd appreciate it. If you sit on the seat and look down with the cover off the driveshaft area, you should be able to see it. I think it goes on the left side. A digital picture would be fantastic.

I check every manual I had to see a picture by chance and nothing. Thanks.

Would I be correct in assuming, that your 1650 has Internal Brakes...???
