I am looking to buy an Allis Chalmers B-110 garden tractor on e-Bay but seller stated this in it's description: (It was used this winter to push snow and something happened inside the rearend, like a gear fell off or something inside, won't move on its own, rolls fine. It also goes into all gears fine, just wont engage the rearend.) Does anyone know if this a serious problem with the tractor, or is it pretty easy to fix? The tractor has a front blade and a deck and seems to be in pretty good shape otherwise. Is it worth $399.00? Please e-mail or leave me a response if anyone knows anything about this. Thanks for your time!

Sounds like the axle tube in the transmisson is broken.
This is a 3 speed transmission...I tink axle tube can still be bought new a your local Simplicity dealer. There are a few of these tractors out there and used parts can be found.
I have the same tractor...10hp Briggs & Straton engine.Tractor was made in 1968.

sThe AC B110 was made by Simplicity and has same rear end. The variable speed drive disk may have broken.Cost is around $400 for disk if you can find one.If I could get it and it cost too much to repair I would part it out.A lot of people are fixing them up in my area.Check Simple trACtors.com may help.
