Besides deere, what other ignition coils will fit on tecumseh 10 hp from 67 JD 112. I have one for the 110 8 hp Kohler, would it work OK?

Thanks
THaden

It is not under the flywheel, it sits on top of the head.

The reason I ask is think mine might be getting weak and I have a bunch of coils for cars and other equipment andthe frugal side of me wants to use one of them if possible.

Is it battery ignition? If so a internal resistor coil for 12 volts should work.

I have a new 30560 coil still in the original box.
You can have it for $15.00 plus shipping. Hal

If this coil is an under the flywheel type, it is still available from a Tecumseh dealer. I recently used this coil to repair a late 50's/ early 60's Kohler K181 that Kohler did not supply the mag coil any longer. The part number of the coil that I am speaking of is 30560A. This is just the coil. It DOES NOT include the armature.
