Need to know about compression release on this engine. How to adjust if can be. Any information would be a big help. Thank in advanced, Eddie

I think the specs are: .002" to .004" intake and .004" to .006" exhaust set with engine cold ang the piston slightly AFTER TDC on the compression stroke.

I set the intake at .003 and the exhaut at .005. That did the trick. It start like a new one. Thank-you for all your help, Eddie

I don't know, offhand, not being at the shop.

The OHV's have very little clearance, and if too wide, the compression release won't work.

Set your valve clearances to the exact spec for your model #, and the compression release should do it's thing!
