Recently was given an S14 in fairly decent shape other than someone tried to rewire it but I am not sure to what more colors of wires and splices than you can shake a stick at. Anyways, getting close to getting this running but it looks as though the transmission filter hasn't been changed in ages does anyone have a cross ref to some "normal" oil filter brand?

I am intrested to know if you still have the wiring diagram for this tractor. I need to rewire the ignition switch. If you do and are willing I would be very grateful.
Thank You

They use the same as John Deere, Wheel Horse, Cub Cadet, etc. They are a common filter. Oregon/silver streak number is 83-300

Yahoo!groups Ariens power equipment. Someone there will help you out with what you need. Hydro filter is critical, don"t try to skimp as it should be the correct micon size to properly filter the tranny fluid. I have an S-14 and if you would like I think I can get the wiring diagram out of my manual. E-mail me if you don"t get any response from the Ariens site.
