Good Morning! I'm replacing the three mandrels on my 50" deck. I was wondering if anyone knows the torque setting for the large top nut that secures the pulley to the mandrel assembly. I know the bottom blade bolt torque is 30-35 lbs. I have spent some time totally restoring this deck, so would like to get this right! Would appreciate your input so I can
finish this deck up, before the grass takes over! Thank you.

When i have to tighten those nuts, i just make them as tight as i can, and that seems to suffice! Of course, i use a long handled breaker bar and a 1/2 inch drive socket! A mechanic friend always said: "Tight, plus a quarter turn!" With that, i haven't had anything come loose!
