I just bought a 2003 425 AWS with a 54 inch deck with 152 hours. My temp gauge is not working. Any thoughts?

I have replaced the temperature sensor. Should I replace the termostat?

Use the posslq's candy/oven thermometer or an infra-red thermometer, and verify how warm it is really running, before condemning the thermostat.

okay thanks. I talked with a JD mechanic and he didn't think it would be the thermostat. He said to check all wiring to the temp sensor and make sure everything is plugged in properly. What else can go wrong besides the temp sensor and the thermostat? i need help!
