WHO: AMIGO Owners

WHAT:
1st AMIGO Owners Reunion

WHY:
For AMIGO owners to show their tractors and equipment to the Designer, Engineer and Manufacturer (currently 92 years young) of the AMIGO garden tractor. I have made arrangements for him to attend. Also for Amigo owners to exchange information, spare parts and literature. It will be an opportunity to tell each other the story(s) about our tractors and equipment. The possibility exists that one of the factory workers may be present at the event.

WHEN:
Saturday September 30, 2006 rain or shine! The museum and meeting room will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. I will be at the museum parking lot at 8:30 A.M. to provide assistance and give directions.

WHERE:
The event will be held in the parking lot of the museum at Southwestern Michigan College located on Cherry Grove Road. Traveling southeast out of Dowagiac, Michigan on M-62, Cherry Grove Road is marked with a sign. Follow Cherry Grove Road until coming to the museum that is on the right hand side.

HOW:
Advance registration is required before September 16, 2006! Contact Aaron W. Davis by email aador@core.com or by telephone (269) 781-2415.

OTHER INFORMATION:
A meeting room has been provided just inside the main entrance of the museum. Please register upon arrival and obtain your name tags and garden tractor registration. There is no lunch facility open this day at the college.

We encourage everyone to bring their AMIGO’S, equipment and related items if possible.

As of this time, I have observed the following models: 77, 99, 990, 1200 & 1400. I have observed an image of an AMIGO ROUST ABOUT. I have not knowingly observed an 1170.

AMIGO garden tractors were manufactured in Dowagiac, Michigan by the firm known as DEMCO. DEMCO was sold to American Machine and Foundry. AMF manufactured the tractors for about 6 months before production was permanently discontinued.
