I need a good riding lawnmower to keep approximately 3/4 acre of lawn properly manicured. Is the conventional tractor type best or is the zero radius type better. Best Brand? Size? There are a lot of flower beds in the lawn. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

John Deere by far the best
Deere has several models to choose from
There is tractors with 2 and 4 wheel steer
4 wheel steer would be good if u got a lot to trim around
Zero turn will be a bit pricy with only mowing 3/4 acre

Depends on your lawn. With Arthritis setting in to the fingers I wanted to get away from a steering wheel. I picked up a used commercial Zero Turn ( Snapper ) On flat ground it is a mowing/trimming BANDIT. Easily cut mowing time in half...on flat lawn. More than half of my 4 acres that I mow is roling hills. On the hills I lose the advantage of the zero turn... Rather than crisp turning for triming, on a side hill the superior manuevering for triming is lost to wheel spin. For me I'm looking to trade it in for a conventional Hydo drive tractor with power steering... SOLEY due to my terrain...
