I have owned 7 of these tractors at once I got in a package deal. I have sold all but one hydro machine, You can look at diagrams and get part numbers from (here) but most parts are unavailable through Sears.

If this an older machine [blue/white should have been built by roper.

If it is blue and white 6 speed, that is 3 speed with a high/low, it was built after 1965 by Roper. If it is a blue and white with variable speed belt drive and clutched by a F-N-R lever, it was built before 1966 by David Bradley. I own some of each.

I can't read the numbers on my belts any more, but let me walk you through this exercise.

I log into sears.com, search Lawn & Garden for parts. Next search your model number (mine is 917.60646) for models. That will take you into a choice of illustrations (blurry) or list of parts. Go to steering. #37 is the long belt and #43 the short one. Click the + on each line and go to shopping cart. You will find your belts listed with translations to other Sears numbers. And Sears is the most expensive place to buy them. The #37 is a 70" belt and you can see that length built into those numbers. The belts are 5/8" wide. I use a B67 which is 70".

Now I'm guessing! The short belt must be 29", but I can't find a listing on a B that short. But in another list, I find 4L290 which I believe is a fit.

My 8 HP uses the same belts, so I assume these would be your size also.

thank you again. i will measure the belts that are on it. they are a replacement, the long one rides to deep in the pulley for reverse to work. they are also those green belts that never seem to last. i really appreciate the help. i looked at the sears site it was helpful. i see what you mean on the size being in the #. i wish all manufactures would use a # system that works the same. i'm familiar with gates & some others make sense. but i didn't get these untill you pointed it out. thanks again.
