It is a 42 in cut lawn tractor, that has been used much harder than it was ever designed for, 6 acres of grass about every 10 days or so during the warm months, for the last 10 yrs, also it is a 14.5 briggs OHV.

Marty,
What have you got that needs a rebuild? Is this on a tiller, mower, generator, what? What size and breed of engine do you have? You can buy a lot of the parts you need for less than $100.00 if you can get the crank cleaned or turned. Let me know what you have and I will get you some prices. Yeah, ya gotta watch a lot of these engine warehouse places, they really do not have all that great of prices when you start comparing prices, and some of the engines they sell are OEM over runs with no warranty, especially if they are really cheap prices.

Thanks Wrench, but at those prices, I'll make scrape metal outta the thing and go buy a new one, this is an everyday unit, not a collectable yet, and I doubt it ever will be!

I bought a 10hp B&S engine from this place that Spinner recommended for my Troy Bilt tiller. I sold the old 6hp Tecumseh engine for $60.00. Here's a picture of the 10hp engine on the tiller.

I masked all the decals. I used PPG's Single Stage polyurethane paint on the tiller. The paint number was 71310, same color for IH tractors. Hal

Once you get all your prices together you may want to check below. You may find for just a little more you can get a brand new engine with a warranty.
