I have a homelite yard trac 526 where there is a rubber wheel riding on top of a metal wheel and it is chain driven can anyone tell me how old it is or how I can find out and anything else about it like the motor I would like too restore it but dont know where too start Thank-you in advance

Do you have any pictures? The setup you described is a friction drive, and I have a Homelite 530 that has the same setup. I am unsure of the exact age, but my grandpa said it's about 50 years old. They might be around the same age. I'll try to get some pictures and we could compare them.
