Hello...did anyone look in a parts book? Unless you have a cast iron engine the coil is the same for the 11, 12, and 10 (there are others too). The engine will not be off by a degree.
As for the carb, well with out model and type numbers I could not give a positive answer, some 11's had shorter throttle linkages than the 10's and 12's. It should.

Actually, yes, I checked the part numbers on line at Jack's small engines. The part number for the coil from the 12 hp (282707) is different from the part number for the 11hp (252707). The 12 hp coil does not have an external trigger pole. It does work on the 11 hp though, without any problems. The carb is a different story, I tried to put it on the 11hp engine and the linkages are different. I tried using the governor arm and linkage from the 12hp, but I never could get the governor to work properly, the engine speed was too high. I went back to the old governor arm and fabricated a linkage. This seemed to work OK, I just need to make a choke linkage.
