In answer to your question: "Will it stay in?". Probably not, unless--here's the best part: There is a type of glue, for want of a better name, that you can use to seat the seat. Then, using a center punch and a medium hammer, set the seat back in place, then go around the seat, about 1/8 inch away from the edge of the seat, and make a complete circle around the seat, in the block, making indentations with the center punch and the hammer, and about 3/16 inch apart, which swells the aluminum around the seat, and which should hold it in place, and the glue, when set over night, should keep the seat in place! I did one a month ago, and it is still holding. Now, if all else fails, you can drill a hole to take a small screw and washer, which when the washer sticks over the seat, and you do both sides, that will really keep it in place! The latter is done only in desperation. If you plot your course, you can miss the screws when putting the head back on. Of, if they still hit the head, then grind them down until they clear, and there is enough metal to hold! I'll admit, i have used some unorthodox means of repairing things, but they work! They don't call me "Tricky Jim" for nothing!
