Blue masking tape ruined the decal on CC 129

A word to the wise....I was repanting a CC 129 that has the decal on the side of the hood....I covered this with the blue ever so perfect top of the line masking tape so that i could paint the hood. OOOPs, to my shock, when I peeled it off the tape took parts of the dacal with it.

No problems here with the blue tape.
now if you leave it n the sun or on for a long time it will stick more and might be more prone to do that.

I used that tape on my Wards tractor's decals and it didn't damage the decals. On the wide decals I used newspaper strips and the blue masking tape
on the outer edges of the decals. I used it my Troy Bilt tiller too when I masked the decals. Hal
