can anyone help me to identify an old riding mower . It has a single front wheel (drive wheel) and reverse is by turning the front drive wheel to 180 degrees with the steering wheel.
the engine is a briggs with a top and bottom output shaft. the top shaft drives the front wheel thru a hand clutch mounted on the steering column
then thru a chain drive down to the front wheel.
The bottom shaft runs the mower deck.
the frame is welded tubing and the seat is padded vinyle with a small backrest
I cannot find any identification and the mower has been
repainted . the mower runs and works well and is in very good condition

thanks ,john

It is definatley a swisher ride king, and they are made the same way. They have a webpage although I am not sure what the address is.

Probably a Swisher "Ride King" -- still being manufactured I think.

I found the "swisher" home page,
looks like they still make a streamlined version
of the ride king. I emailed them to ask if they could help identify the year and type for me , no reply as yet.
not much help on their web page

thanks to all for your input so far, more help needed john
