I'm aware of what "o"Cat.and Cat.3's are;what's the difference with Cat.1? I'm looking at an all purpose plow that looks like a o cat.but it just seems a little heavy for 12 thru 18hp.Garden tractor range. Is there a stamp or marking of some kind to look for?I've never seen one like it,has a straight square tube bar,the spring tongs are adjustable and slide for adj. There are 5 tongs.Unit is orange, about 36"long and really don't look that old!thanks in advance,Dude11

It sounds like you are describing a cultivator used for weeding / breaking up the ground purposes not really a plow. They are meant for use in already tilled ground which doesn't require as much pulling power.

I have White GT2055 (MTD 20 hp) with a class 0 3-pt hitch and it handles a 300 lb box blade fine. My father has the same tractor with an 18 hp engine and we've had the box blade on that without a problem. The box blade was originally set up with Class 1 pins and class 0 spacing, but I swapped out the pins and it works fine on the class 0 hitch. My blade is orange also and was made by KingKutter. Maybe you could find your plow on their website?
