A Cosh:

In addition to the previous suggestions, the condenser has to be grounded.

I have seen cases where the bolt holding the condenser become loose and thus loosing the ground connection. To further expand, the motor should be properly grounded, all the way back to the ( - ) Terminal on the Battery. There should be Zero Ohms reistance between points.

Im guessing that you went threw with a test light and made sure you had power to the coil and points and if so to the plug. If you have power to the points but no spark there Id guess your points are bad or dirty. Take a small piece of sand paper clean and look to see if you have spark. Also the small piece of round stock behind the points can wear and lose motion and the points wont open. If you get spark there and not at the plug maybe condensor plug wire or plug. Just be sure you have power all the way down the line with a test light.

I had that happen once on my 70. replaced the points and condenser and fired right up. The previous points were pretty pitted. could be something else but thats just what happened to me. never hurts to replace the points anyway.
