I am rebuilding my 1966-year Bolens Model 1050 192-01 Garden Tractor-- and several attachments for it. I hope to have everything together by the first snow.I hope this helps. David A. Sohn Saint Louis, Missouri Troy-Bilt has service many places-- Check out Troy-Bilt website>Link Click>Link on "Buy Locally", Click on "Dealer Locator". Enter your Zip Code and you have it. Troy-Bilt bought out Bolens, but support the old name and the new name under parent company "Garden Way". I am told the bigger Troy-Bilt tractor is based on Bolens design. I may have read that the smaller riders are based on other designs. Ask any of the guys below for better information/ advice than I have. Under the Photographs sections at these sites, you can find Specifications pages with diagrams and helpful information, but you have to obtain membership first. Happens immediately, and is no-cost. I purchased some publication reprints from Bruneaus-- and scanned files from others. If you cannot read the Mower Deck tags, try this information. Some of the Mower Deck Model Numbers for various 1050s-- 1050 "192-01" built in 1966: The green-colored Deck is connected with two points above the deck-- plus two long links and turnbuckles that connect the back of the deck to the transaxle, or "Two Up and Two Back". The TR-10D Wisconsin engine uses a magneto, with coil located behind the flywheel-- and Does Not have a 12 Volt ignition coil. The 42" deck used is probably a model #18457 or variation-- it uses 14.5 inch blades. 38" deck would probably be 18449-- it uses 13.25 inch blades. 1050 "192-02" built in 1967: The Deck is connected by "Two Up and Two Back" and the engine uses a 12 Volt ignition coil on TRA-10D engine. Same decks as above. 1050 "192-02" built 1968 to 1969: The Deck is connected by "Four Up"-- meaning four points connect the deck directly above the deck itself. Extra lift mechanisms were added to the tractor frame to accommodate this method. This eliminated the need for long links to the transaxle. The 42" deck used might be an 18423 or variation-- this deck was designed to receive four lift points directly above the deck. TRA-10D engine is used (12-Volt Ignition, not magneto).
