Andy:

I agree with David. I think you would be farther ahead by buying a good used Hydro.

That Trunion Yoke is a PITA to remove and/or replace.

Andy, That is good news...helpful hint...hop on ebay these are pretty common to find in good used condition. I buy alot of cub stuff off of ebay and you can"t beat the prices if you bid right. Do a completed listing search for part you need to see what market price is. JayIHMan

Jay, The only thing that worrying me is in order to get that truuion out to do anything is to open the transmission in order to pull the pin to remove the shaft. The truion is actually broke, theout side edge is gone. Iwas wondering if some ever came up with an alternate fix . I know I am grabbing for straws but my back and hps are in bad shape and withn the economy going to hell, I am in afix. Thank you again for your imput!

I'd, given your circumstances shop ebay for a good used hydro unit with linkage and check valves with a bullet proof return policy. For less than $100 you could be back in business. If you were close to NE Ohio I could do it for you.
It can be a handful repairing it if your not doing it a lot.
Gaskets and seals would cost almost the same.
David
