Like to thank Annn & JT for there help on my starter problem! Annn, you were right the starter did click at times,so I bought a starter relay kit PT# AM107421 from dealer and that took care of the problem! Saved a lot of time raising the engine an putting a new starter in. Mike

I wish that would work for my 318. ratzenfrackin argh. I bought it cheap with a "new" starter to be installed. I thought I would try replacing the cable first. When I did, I broke off the stud on the solenoid.

So I went ahead and pulled the engine and put the "new" starter on. Hooked it back up, but left the side panels and hood off, and tried it out. I got nothing, not even a click. But I can jump the solenoid and get the engine to turn over. Argh. If I hadn't broke the solenoid on the first starter, I would be in business. As it is, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on a 3rd, "used" starter.

I should have just forked out the $100 for a new solendoid on one of the other starters.
