I have a 74 ST/12 917.25732. The mower attached is a 917.253580. I believe that the mower is off of a 76 ST/16. Personally I didn't see very much of a problem as far as fitment was concerned. With the idler shaft assembly installed(mule plate) the belt idler pulley's rub the frame when the mower clutch is disengaged. I tried to compensate by adjusting the adjusting pins for the snubber rod & belt tightener link. Its an exact science and something seems to be off. I installed the assembly from my 71 SS14 and it fit perfectly(smaller pulley's). Any ideas? The SS14 Shaft assembly does not have the little hole on the bottom for the snubber(brake shoe) for the mower. Adjustment? Wrong deck for this tractor? :?:
