Every older craftsman has an eratic idle. If you shake the tractor it can stall. I rebuilt the carb on a number of them. It never goes away. Whats up with this?

More times than not, you will find that the float seam is leaking and slowly filling up the float on the brass float models & especially on the GT's. You might also check to make sure your float level is within spec. The only reason a motor would stall from shaking it {fuel related anyway} is from excessive fuel levels. Even the bakeolite plastic floats will deteriate and start filling up with fuel.
