I am the one who posted the Mainline question below. I'd like to know if the Mainline and BCS rear-tine tillers/walking tractors were the same machine with different badging, or were they built by different companies? I know the resembled each other in the old ads, when I was checking into them years ago.
Thanks,
Barry

BCS as imported by Mainline until the mid 1980s when BCS took over the North American distribution of their products. At than time Mainline began selling similar equipment also built in Italy. Parts for BCS equipment are available from BCS dealers. Copies of parts breakdowns for BCS equipment and Acme engines are available from www.bcsshop.com. Parts for Mainline equipment built by BCS is still av

Barry, In answer to your question. Yes, at one time BCS and Mainline were one and the same. I owned an 8 hp BCS Mainline machine which I traded to a dealer in Avon IL for a 10 hp with several attachments. This was in the very early '80's. I still have it and I get parts,(when I rarely need them), from the distributor in Columbus Ohio. I probably won't be checking this board often as I just stumbled across your question while doing a web search. Feel free to email me if you want more information. Regards. Steve.

BCS was the manufacturer of the Mainline rototiller; I came here looking for dealers/ service centers for the machines--there are three owners in our area. there is no bcs.com site so Cant tell you a whole lot more.

Looks to me like BCS/Mainline is still around. I just found www.bcsshop.com

Try using www.google.com as your search engine, it's the best by my experience. I found quite a bit (including this posting) searching for "BCS rototiller"
