On a farm tour 12-15 years ago we visiteda farmer whose Father purchased a 403 Diesel Hydrostatic new. They had since switched to Quick Attach from a 715. Also put on auto heifgt. The 403 recently had a motor overhaul, and the son said that his Father insisted that they use a sleeved repair kit. Son wanted to go 301. He started it up and it sounded really nice. The combine had a cab, air, etc. It never sat outside at night, ever! And the paint showed the good care. They farmed about 500 acres of combinable crops. This was in southern Quebec. Last I heard, about 5 years ago, they had more acres and an Axial, but the 403 still adds bushels to the day's harvest. Nice to see these girls well looked after. QR
