Serial number 43276. Notice the straw chopper.

Serial number 40813

Serial number 11014

Serial number 1311. This 55 has to be first year's production. Notice the small front duels that were only used on the first year. When I first heard about this combine, I thought it would make a perfect addition to our 1969 55 last year production. After looking it over though it would take some real serious work. Don't know what I will do yet.

Allis Chalmers forage chopper. Read that this was based somewhat on the 40 combine.

Harris combine. First thought it was a Holt 36 when walking up to yet but looked too big.

JD pull type.

MH 90 serial number 131485.

Co-oP combine. First time I've ever seen one of these. Was struck me was its low height.

JD No 17.

McCormick Deering No 8. This combine is horse drawn.

All of these combines were at one place.

Did you decide anything on the oldest 55. I'd sure be interested in that one. Thanks, Brad

I will probably leave it there for awhile and then maybe haul it home. I would like to take all of them but I don't want them sitting on my place yet.

Wow, once you start up the ladder of that 55 you have quite a trek ahead of you.

If you measure the thickness of the metal on the Coop combine, you will probably find that it is thicker than any other combines of the same vintage.

They were made low so you could sit down in the dust all day. We had two Cockshutt 112SP's; rugged machines, but real dirty to operate.

The 47 - 55's were made from 501-2000, I found one the other day that was 724, but it's not that good of shape.

What A Find!! Thanks for the great pictures! How many of these are going to your place? That nice 55 JD and Co-op would be at mine in a heartbeat!

30 years ago Kansas and Oklahoma had places like this one but they have all just about dissapeared.

I drove by a place in Nebraska yesterday that had a SP-12 Case but no time to stop.

I have to ask the owner first and I know the guy too. If I can get them cheap probably the COOP combine and the TC tractor. Out of everything I want the TC tractor the worst. The first tractor on our farm was a TC 21-32. He tells me they used to have 10 55s. In addition to the 5 present, I found 3 more gas tanks off of 55s.

I finally got 2 SP12 SN's; 5476605 and 5667719. No pictures yet; these two are located just West of Torrington WY on U.S. 26. I'll get photos the next time I head to Kansas. I have a few more to check out up here in MT.

Great pics. I thought I remembered some of the 55"s with the gas tank on the left side. These old machines look different to me with the small tires. I grew up around combines with the 18-26 rice field tires. We had a Massey 21,replaced it with a MH-27L and a MH Super 92. The neighbor had a couple of JD-55"s, while another neighbor had IH-141"s.

What a find. Would take me two days to get out of there. What strikes me about that Coop combine is the fuel take. I think I could have found a better place.

Your not supposed to be smokin yer cige butts out in the wheat field anyways While the machines runnin it should be drawing air into the tank thru the vent cap so no fumes to bothyer you anyways, but I agree I'd hate to be settin ther if ol Cheech or Chong go up in smoke!!!

The pics I took show about 1/50th of what is there. Bunch of old cars and farm implements like drills and disk tillers. The owner is going to start cleaning up this summer.

I have a 21-32 but its a parts tractor. Most of the TC's are long gone from here. I do have 2 UTS, 2 ZTU, 2 RTU, 2 GVI M 670 (bought new by grandpa and great uncle), GTB, GB, among with a lot of MM implements. Wonder what I'm gonna do with that stuff after I leave home and graduate from college (at least I got 4 years to worry) Also I think that there is a Cockshutt combine sitting in Marysville KS on the south side of the road in town.
