Two different machines, or did you swap tires? Looks like it has wider tires in the pics where you're chopping hay. Nice looking machine.

talk about being a glutton for punishment! my dad did that 1 summer when i was 10 or 11 years old. he would milk and do chores then go pick up load of milk cans then home. he was busy he milked 20 -25 at the time with surge bucket milkers. the best part was cream plant was about 5 miles from home. i hope you have good help.

love those fox choppers. i have a 1961 fox SPF, the first model of self propelled. it has a B427 continental 6 cylinder gas engine and a 2 row corn head. the grass head looked like the one on your super d. i use a fox 6250 and 3 row head now.

Nice looking machine, looks like it's doing the job! What engine does it have? I saw one at an auction in Ohio once that had a very large Continental six cylinder gas engine that was one of the best sounding gas engines I ever heard.

Rob, Thanks for the great pictures.Your equipment looks well cared for.I'd love to sit on the end of the field for awhile and listen to the 4-71 Detroit purr in the Fox chopper.

Years ago there was a guy in central Kansas with some SP choppers that he built and he had 318 Detroits powering them. They say that you could hear them for miles.

I'm a big Detroit fan and own a 1967 Oliver 1950 tractor with a 4-53 and a 1966 CO4000 IH road tractor with a 8V-71 or the old 318.We once had an old HD-10 Allis crawler with a 4-71.
