Here's an antique Owatonna swather I bought for $75 this fall at an auction. It's got the canvases also. It seems like it was well taken care of and shedded, I'll have to try to get it going this spring.

It'll probably be a good size for smaller antique combines.

I have one like that- currently without the motor. Scrapper is here "now". Bought it for the engine, before the scrapper gets it, I wanted the planetaries from it- just for some "unknown" shop project I might come up with. Shame to junk drive parts like that. Need something?- I"ll just tell the neighbor to hold off on cutting. Platform, etc. looks good, no canvases. Anything else- junk price. Distance?--I"m an hour N/NW of metro, off MN 55, near 15. With my scrap pile- he"ll be here for months. I have the manual for it- send me an email, and I"ll give it to you- with thanks for the info for the 7000 attachment that I"m looking for.

Same to you, paul! whoever gets here first! but, the milkman from michigan might need a head start! All- consider it saved for now. (maybe not the planetaries- I might live long enough to restore the other 11 tractors, plus future purchases, combine sprayer, snow blower, humongous lawn mower, fence line cutter...ad infinitum for the other shop projects- til the crashed-into bones kick out. Plans equal optimism, future! We should all have that.)

I think I was in grade school when dad pulled it home - I got to go along. Mom said it looked like old scrap iron back then.... It's just so simple, too easy to patch up & go for my 5-15 acres of oats. :)

Mine is a 10 foot, yellow & red, had a 2 cyl Wisconsin which dad replaced with a 4 cyl (from a Woods corn picker he bought & scrapped out). I don't think it has a serial plate, too old for that..... He rebuilt the planitaries a year or 2 ofter he got the machine, they seem to keep going. The canvases wore out 2 years ago, figured wasn't worth finding any for the old girl, and someone happened to give me 2 old but good ones, so might have to run another few years.

A manual would be cool to have - if it is just hitting the trash anyhow. But you offered to others first, so I won't get my hand out very fast. ;)

Just re-read my post- my email did not show up. Brad is in MN, like paul and I. Since my email did not post- here it is: Ripcord489@Hotmail.com. $200 FOB for the entire carcass, less engine. No canvass, I think the fuel tank is on it. Manual goes to Brad. I can send you a picture.

Rob, Last fall I saw one just like this but smaller, maybe 7 or 8 foot cut with a 2 cylinder Wisc. engine in east central Minn. (about 75 miles from me) for sale. Looked pretty descent. Unfortunately didn't have my camera. Once spring comes and I get my motorcycle out of hibernation I could get info for you if interested.

Hey Farmer Fudd, what kind of motorcycle do you have? I'm kind of an MC freak too I love tractors and combines but at my age first things first, I've gotta get my 02 HD full dresser in the shop for some tuneup work before spring hits. :-> CT
