Hey does anybody know the year and model of this cool old John Deere pulltype hillside combine? I seen this combine sitting along side the road near Ione OR. I love the old stuff so I stopped for a look. I could not find a serial# or model# plate anywere on it and I looked for quite a while Thanks for the help

yes indeed that a Jd model 36. It was the premier combine for a lot of years 20 foot header. The 36 came about because that was the year john deere bought the holt harvester line from Caterpillar. Holt built those for 20-30 years even had a self propelled model.

I don't really know anything about this combine. It was just sitting along side a McNab road outside the little dryland wheat farming town of Ione OR. I don't know if it could be bought or not but if somebody is really interested in buying it. I think I might be able to put them in touch with a person that might possibly know who owns it. E-mail me if truly interested.

Sure looks like a model 36 built from 1936 to 1953
