My Grandfather is looking for a "handlebar" for a circa 1910 horse-drawn cultivator. It is approximately 1 inch thick, 4 inches wide, 4 feet long and is shaped like a hockey stick. If anyone knows the correct name for this part and/or where I might find one, please let me know.

Try Lehmans Hardware in Kidron, Ohio. They have a web site and I know they carry these handles.

Kristie I only ever heard um called "plow stocks" or "plow handles". You are talking about the one for the handle I guess.
I took the good one off and used it for a pattern to cut a new ones. I prefer hickory, but oak is good. If you can find the wood and can cut it or get them made, I would put both on it, that will look better and end the troubles for a while. If there is an Ammish community near you they usually have this sort of stuff or will build it for you.

I have an amazining Defiance wood bending machine for sale in Paris France that is in perfect working condition for all your bending needs. The machine is patent 1893 and was used to make canon whels during the 1st World War. it's sale price is $16000 plus shipping but a serious fast offer will be accompanied by a reasonable rebate. This is a beautiful machine.
