Well I just did it bid way to much on a irrigation pump on ebay with a stuck red seal Cont. engine on it. Its close by but I'm already worried about parts I guess this is what I get when the wife is out of town for the weekend and I stay up way to late.She will be real pleased about this little road trip Need help here men please

First of before you push the big panic button, determine what you have. Red Seal was a Trade name used by Continental Engines. I can think of probably 20 different models of Continental engines. For some the parts are available at auto parts stores and at decent prices, some will not be that way. So is it: gas or diesel or L-P or natural gas? 4 cylinder,6 cylinder or 8 cylinder, If it has spark plugs is it overhead valve or L-head? Get the picture. If no tag get some casting number off the block to start with. Questions?

I aint sure what a redseal engine is but I have a good running 4cyl cont engine here. I think it is a model G193 but not real sure. Let me know it you think it will help.
