I have a 3 Bottom trip foot plow that I want use with my MF 1100. The main drawbar(part with the pins on it) on the plow has the pins offset 180 degrees from each other. ie one pin forward the other rearward. The drawbar can be rotated in the plow frame to adjust the pins forward backward up or down depending how far you turn it. Why is this this way and how do you set it up. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Eric N.

The drawbar can be rotated to change the width
of cut for the front furrow. The best way is to
put the plow in the ground and rotate the drawbar
one way or the other until the front furrow
matches the other two.
After each adjustment, go down the field 50' or
so, so that the plow has a chance to move over.

If I rotate the drawbar wont it just change the alignment of the whole gang of bottoms reference the tractor?
Thanks

Yup. Which changes the position of the front bottom in reference to the previous furrow, which is what we're after.

Thank You for the info, I'll let you know how it works out. I suppose I need to level the plow with the three point hitch adjustment. Eric N.

You do the leveling with the 3pt arm after you get the drawbar rotation corrected since it changes the level of the plow also.
