I am going to help the neighbor sell her late husbands machinery soon and we aren't real sure of a ballpark range of what many pieces are worth.
--Case 10-shank,(10 foot width) chisel plow, very good condition
--IH #470 21', 7 1/2" blade spacing Disc Harrow, very good shape but it has manual fold wings, --16'Brand??? Howard maybe??? harrowgator,& 11' Brillion cultipacker, both in very good shape.
--Oliver #540 four row corn planter, the dry fertilizer attachment is like new on this one, and is in very good orginal shape.
--Massey-Ferguson #33? about 12' drill with grass seed attachment, mechanical trip lift, very good shape.
--John Deere 4-16"& 5-14" semi mount plows in excellent and good condition.
Thank You!!!

This machinery is located near Utica in Licking county, about 30 miles North East of Columbus. The disk looks indentical to the one Allan in NE posted. Thanks guys.

Depends on where you are. Where I live, the disk, like Allan says, would bring $1000 or so, in excellent condition. Packers seem to be in demand for some reason here, maybe all the horse pasture and and hayfield seeding. Transport models up to $1200, non-transport, $400. The 4-16 plow would bring maybe $100 a bottom, more if auto-reset. Seems to be the size the specialty veggie guys are looking for here. 5-14 might bring a couple hundred, but probably less. Drill, $300, if the Amish decide to trek here from PA, $600-800 because of the mechanical lift. Corn planter, probably not much UNLESS it has a large assortment of plates. If I remember right, the 540 still used the unique-to-Oliver plates, while the 543 used the JD style plates. Then it would go for $300-$400 for sweet corn, usually.

Hi Tim,

It's a darned shame on that disc. I had one that was 18' and it was one he!! of a nice disc.

But the manual fold was a bugger. That 21', if it were hydraulic fold and in good shape, would probably command close to $3 to $4K.

Disc is probably worth $1200 on a good day if it is in excellent shape.
