Mornin' All,

Woke up to 25 degree temps here this morning and a hard killing frost.

Looks like the old alfalfa is gonna have to start all over again. Now the weeds and grasses will really come to beat the band. :>(

Not that cold here in eastern Nebraska. Planting going full out here. Atleast you didn't get all the snow that was in the Dakotas. Heard that some places got 4 feet or more. Don't need that. Just hate all of this wind that we have been getting. Hope you got that tree down off the roof.

Hi Bob,

Yep, I hear it was a nasty one up there. I gotta head for NE SD in the morning and they say they didn't get anything over in that country.

Yeah, I know there is a long "wait list", but if that insurance adjuster doesn't show up pretty darned soon, I'm gonna get out the chain saw and take matters into my own hands. Darned tree has gotta go! :>(

Allan,

Sympathys on the cold weather. Won't hurt your feeling by telling you how warm it is here in SC.

Maybe you could talk the insurance adjuster into taking the rest of the dead tree down before it falls on the house also. Then you can forget my earlier post on pulling a tree the right way. Good luck.

Must be something wrong, We had an overnight low of 38 but rained all night too. Sure are glad we didn't get the snow here. nSorry about the tree on the house, seen one go down on a house north of here, old farmer was in a home, kids moved mom out and that tree is still on the house 10+ years later. Sad thing. Big time auction today, nothing old enough or small enough for a low budget guy like me so stay in and putz around on something till the fields are ready for me. (I been ready for them, darned rain).
