I need guidance as to how to proceed in replacing the main drive belt driving the sickle bar.

It appears to be a major job>

Any help and or pics would greatly be appreciated.

Hay is growing and I need this to be repaired soon.

Thanks to all who reply.

I suggest you go get a user manual from a NH dealer. It gives step by step instructions with photos.
Basicly, you place a jack under the left side of the header to support it.
Remove shields ( if you still have them)
Disconnect the reel and roll drive chains.
Remove the bearing and flang from the right end of the shaft coming from the gear box.
Remove the left wheel assembly, including the out side and inside wheel plates as a unit.
remove the gear box mounting bolts, then slide the gear box left.
Move the drive sheave right to get clearence from the frame.
Remove belt from drive sheave.
Remove the knife head bolt.
remove the 3 pivot bearing cap screws.
Remove pivot bearing spacer.
Rotate the pivot bearing mout 180 deg.
Rotate the wobble sheave until its in upward possition.
Swing pivot arm out.
Slip the belt off.
Reverse to install.

Easy huh?

Oh and wile you have it all apart. You might as well replace the 2 chains with new ones and replace the right end bearing.
