Hello Guys:

I"ve bought an old herd seeder that is a 3 point hitch design broadcast type. I have the allpication rate for seed but the one for the fertilizer is gone. I"m needing to spread 50# of nitrogen per acre and do not know where to set the opening of the gate. Does anyone have an application rate they can show me or tell me what size opening i need for 50 pounds of Nitrogen per acre?

Thanks,

John

Guys:

It is a Herd model 750 seeder. What im needing is what they show as the "see fertilizer chart on seeder" :) Does anyone have a picture of this or a copy of on in a manual or something they can send me? It would be greatly appreciated!

Keep up the good work.

ok,

What i"m spreading is urea, I"m needing it spread at 50# per acre. It is just regular old urea/nitrogen without phosphorus or potassium. I need to know how far to open the bottom gate.

Thanks,

John

Ok folks:

Thanks to all of you, we"re headed in the right direction. I have no idea what model my seeder is. It is white, 3 point hitch, and is a rectangular box style spreader rather than a round cone type spreader. I have the same application chart still on my spreader as shown on the website for seed, I"m in need of the other one for fertilizer. What im actually wanting to spread now is urea at 50# per acre.

Thanks for all the help and keep the good info coming.
