I can't remove the wheel on side of the plow that operates the trip. I removed the nuts, cap and pin, but the spoke wheel will not come off. What do I need to do to remove this wheel?

Thanks Guys I got the wheel off. I used a puller and it came off easy. The bolts inside of the wheel still had some of the original green paint on them.

Why do you need to get it off? Does the trip function need repair? I have hydraulic lift on mine so not much help.

I want to change the tire, clean and paint the wheel. The trip works fine.

I remember someone mentioning that the inner sleeve (called a land wheel box in the parts manual) is wedge shaped and the wheel is quite hard to get off from the "box" due to dirt, rust, corrosion etc. A puller may work, but probably hard to find a spot to get a puller to clamp onto. You may be able to accomplish your tasks with leaving it all together and using a generous amount of masking tape when painting.
