This was in the Farm Show magazine as "Best of Show" for 2007. The person that stacked those bales earned their money. Hal

Isn"t that the wagon they made a dolly front end for and the builder claimed road speeds of 60mph. I think that"s pretty impressive but at the same time a little nuts. Fifth wheel wagons give ya 4 wheels and you can do about 40. The only problem is they are short. I love Farm Show if you don"t get it stick it on your Christmas list. JaredM

Between these 2 wagons there's over 350, but they're only stacked 6 high. We've done 9 high to get over 200 on 18' wagons. Normally I can get about 225 on the 2 18'ers we've got in use if I go 9 high, but like you that's only if we really gotta beat the weather and I'm feelin strong all day long.

Acutally that all will be fed to horses. We sold that entire cutting to a very good customer that feeds Thoroughbred Racing horses.

Looks like the are all stacked the same way, could have been loaded with a bale grapple.

High!?!?

That is only 7 tiers high. We pyramid our large loads and get up to 9 tiers on our wagons.

Of course we only do that when we are pressed for wagons or are trying to beat the clock or weather.

I have been looking for tandem axle running gears, but they have all been out of our price range.

right now we use 20' racks and can put upwards of 250 bales on a load and still have room to get into our machine shed.

I would rather have a larger rack than many small ones, but we do still have small (16') racks for use on small fields and for hauling small lots to local hay customers.

I SEE LOTS OF RETIRED TANDEM COTTON WAGONS SETTING AROUND IN WEST TEXAS COTTON AREAS---YOU COULD PROBABLY PICK SOME UP FOR A REASONABLE AMOUNT AS MOST FARMERS USE THE MODULE SYSTEMS NOW---HTH
