I just got my first tractor. A Farmall Super A.
I need some help in learning about the implements and how to use them. I also would like to get a one point disc harrow. Any idea on how much a used one would go for and the best way to find one??
Josh

don't limit your search to just single point hitches. I have a 140 and use a converted 3 point bush hog, DISK HARROW, scrape blade and anything else I find in the the future. CT farm supply sells a 1 inch thick metal MALE adapter you can have welded to just about anything to use on the tractor. Or a local weld shop can cut you one out of common stock. My disk is about 7 feet wide (2 rows of 8 blades) and is a three point design with the top atachement cut off. the male probe is welded to the top of the frame, the 140 and your super A pickes it up and drags is great, touch control lets you set the cutting depth to really tear the land up or just the top. I'll try to take some picture to show the set up and post them here in the future. The blade was bought direct from Lienback in NC. look on web for home page, they have 4, 5 and 6 foot blades for the fast hitch.

happy hunting.

May I ask what you mean by 'one point'? Isn't a fast hitch a two-point system?

International made a whole series of one point fast hitch implements for the cub.

If I remember right, the Super A also had only 1 point...

The IH Farmall 100 and 140's also used a one point hitch. They worked very well. There seem to be a quite a few tobacco farmers in Kentucky, Tennessee, etc. that still use these tractors. You might try to e-mail some of the tractor dealer from these states. They might be able to help you.
