Anyone familiar with a DuAl 3100 quick-tach loader?

How in the heck does that thing stand up when ya back out of it? Are they supposed to have a set of stands under the mainframe or what? What holds it up until you're ready to drive into it again?

Thanks,

Allan

I have a IH 2001 loader, I was kinda wondering what the proper way is to het it off, looks like you just pull a few pins where the loader arms attach to the loader frame and back away, is this correct, need to take it off this summer to earn its keep in my cropping adventure.

I thought you only like the f11 loaders, kinda changing your ways. You will find out cabs are not all that bad. That JD unit really spoiled ya didn't it. Now I see you puttin cabs on things now. those red units thou they were really load ring units thou. I only owned a red unit for two seasons, had enough of the wine(ring) sound under the seat. Hyd were way different to when switched. Went from dark green to red(short time) to the lighter green ever since. Using blue in setting up stuff now. Westendorf loaders are the easiest on and off from ones I have been setting up. Unit you looking at similair to Buhlers. The first time out you wonder about it thou especially the self level units.

Yeah,

Like I told my buddy down in Wellfleet, nostalgia is all well and good in the summertime.

However, it's cold, I'm old and those damned calves are bellerin' to be fed. I'm slow, but I do eventually learn. :>)

Just like my Bushhog QT loader. There are two sections of 3" square tubeing about 10" long welded to the cross bar right behind the bucket. Two "legs" are stored inside this same cross bar. The retaining pins that store the bar are also the mounting pins. Backing out from under the first time is a real act of faith, cause they ain't no way it can just sit there like that balanced on the bucket--but it does. Sits real steady too. Alla weight up front I guess.

These "legs" are standing/welded vertical to the loader frame then? And, ya slide 'em down to park it kind of like the stands on an old Gleaner combine header?

Thanks for your help,

Allan

Yeah ya SHOULDN'T need the barrels. When I park mine anywhere cept on concrete it has a "saftey stand" under it. Barrel, sawhorse, or something. Now that I'm down to one tractor it don't stay off for more than a day or two though.
