Hey Guys,

What's the scoop on this full bale monitor? Book says "audible alarm". What kind of "audible"? I assume the red light comes on too?

Never used one before, but it might be kind of handy if it's not too obnoxious. :>)

Thanks,

Allan

Allan

That looks like the monitor that came with my 664. The guy I bought it from said that I had the choice of that one, which came with a 660, or the original one that came with the baler. He had both on two different tractors he used to run the baler. I was going to run it on my old 4010 with the noisy rattle box cab, so I took the one with the light. Boy does it work! I could hear the buzzer over the noise in the cab and through my earplugs. What kind of tie does that baler have? Is it Auto Wrap or does the buzzer just tell you to manually tie the bale?

John

Hi John,

It's just a straight, normal hydraulic tie and the switch is just a contract switch at the full bale chamber. This thing just keeps ya from having to constantly watch that indicator on the baler.

Baler came with three of these monitors; all built the same, for three different tractors, I'd assume.

I was just wondering if ya have to reach over there and switch the thing off/on on every bale to keep it from drivin' ya nuts while you're tying? Or, can a guy live with the racket?

Noise and I just don't get along too well. :>)

Sorry Allan, can't help you on that one. On the Autowrap the alarm is hooked to the twine arms. It beeps for a second as the arms start to move and a second as the arms finish. Don't know how the ones hooked to the full bale mechanism would work. I would GUESS they would only buzz for a short time, otherwise people would have thrown them out.

John

I'm gonna go out and hook that hog to a battery, short the trip circuit and find out. :>)

Yep it has a buzzer on it and a light. We didn't like that tiny little light and heck you couldn't hear the stupid buzzer when it gets full of dirt either and put a truck marker light on there and then you could see it without even having to glance at box lol.

Thats what mine does. Beeps and blinks when the autowrap starts and again when its finished tying.
