Any one seen one of these? The rims are 6 X16. I thought the stainless trim was unique. It has a drive sprocket for a seeder on the right rear. I was not able to find anything to give a clue as to the manufacturer.

I picture the wagon wheel looks like a Chev 6 bolt pattern if it is any old 40s or 50s - 16" or 15" wheel would fit even Olds & Buick had 6 lugs in the 40's . Any wheel up to the ones made for disk brakes would work.

Olds and Buick in the 40's had a 5 lug wheel, not a 6 lug and the 6 lug Chevy wheel will NOT interchange with any 6 lug implement wheel.

That is a J I Case wagon in what I call the high stilts (Tall spindle) version, they also made a short spindle version but mose were the tall unit made more for a box bed type of bed than a flat rack as the bolsters were set way too high for a good flat rack but the box beds the floor set directly on the bolsters. Those crome rings are off a 40's model car as is the wagon a 40's model. I have one I bought a few year ago and it had the wooden horse toung cut off for tractor in it and the tires were a matched set of world war 2 tires. It also had that endgate seeded drive sprocket on. I have a total of 6? sprockets and 2 seeders. You have the wood box bed and somebody has set it up on 2x4's to give a bit more height.

I think you are correct with your ID of that wagon, and the box might also be a Case. At least we had a Case dealer in the 50's in Iowa who sold flareboxes like that with those running gears. Running gear was orange (dark green wheels) and the box was dark green.

I know where there is a flarebox wagon like this in very good shape and also the IHC endgate seeder that is ready to go to work.

I can still hear the sound of the twin spinners and the oats (cover crop) and alfalfa seed hitting the corn stalks as we went along. When done seeding, we'd lightly disk the field to incorporate the seed. Today that would be a poor way to incorporate alfalfa seed, but in those days that was high tech. You could really seed a wide swath with one of those seeders.

If any of you have pictures showing original paint and or a source for the paint, I would be appreciative. We still have my grandpa's Case wagon that looks just like those. I immediately identified it from the picture. Ours has a flatbed on it that is rusted out and sits in the barn with junk piled on it. I would love to restore it someday. Thanks for any help.
