Hey Guys, we use to have an old Papec single row corn head forage havester. It came with a hay head but the previous owner had put a steel fence post through it so we never used it. A few years back we sold it but have regreted it ever since. It had a large flywheel in it that the new harvesters don't and didn't require a high horse power tractor, we ran it in low gear with a Cockshutt 1265, about 45 horse at the PTO or so. Anyway my question was what happened to the Papec brand? did they get absorbed by a larger firm or were they orphaned? Thanks to all in advance

That would have been a 151D. Have one here waiting for a guy to pick up and continue to use to chop corn. Built like the USS New Jersey. I think the last thing that was keeping Papec in business was building Tomahawk Chipper/Shredders for Garden Way Inc, who also owned Troy-Bilt rototillers. Then that business went someplace else and doors were shuttered.

Closed the doors.Kaput! A shame too. They built good equipment too, but time marches on.A neighbor had a chopper like that .It had a Leroy engine on it. He pulled it with a John Deere 520 and he flew with it ,even in good corn.Ah Lord, bring back the 50s.amen
