I have a question regarding an IH 535, 3-16" semi-mounted plow.....can one that is currently equipped with fast-hitch (two-point) attachments be easily converted to a conventional three-point hitch (pulling with the two lower links)? I have a 540 IH four-bottom semi mount that I don't use at this time, and was wondering if I could simply take the hitch off that one and move it onto the 535, if I happen to buy it tomorrow. Any thoughts?

I think you can switch them. I am assuming the 3 bottom does have a tail wheel, since you say it is a semi-mount. I have seen semi-mount FH plows before and other than the front they are the front lift, they are the same.

Just using the two lower pins on the 3pt would require a tail wheel also.

So you either need a tail wheel or make it a fully mounted 3 pt plow with all three pins.
