Well I found a local fixit guy and felt quite confident about fixing this part. Being the busy harvest season and his ability to make "field" calls, I had only received a message from him stating it was finished and sitting out side his door...we'll settle up later.

So now it will only stand the test of time. The plow it came off of is new to me and after further inspection I think there may have to be other parts that connect that bracket to the furrow wheel. If any one has any info or even pics that would br great!

Looks like he did a good job welding. When we were running drawbar pull on a tank with the vehicle in this picture we broke the tongue on the lead trailer. It did a root canal on our control cable too.

We took it to our welding shop at APG and the foreman said he could weld it and if it broke he would eat it. We reinstalled the tongue and went about 10 feet or so and it broke again. We walked back in carring that tongue and asked him if he wanted mustard or catsup to go with it. He said he would make a new one from armor plate. Never had any more trouble after that. We think ice may have cracked the original tongue. Hal
