The last time we needed a part for it,they all just laughed and said that they haven't made parts for them in years.Dad bought it new in 78' and always takes very good care of it.We only have a corn head for it and back then we only grew 10-15 acres a year,a few years we didn't grow any.Now we grow 40 acres and there is still lots of life in it,so from time to time we need a part or two and used parts are even getting hard to come by.If anyone knows of a parts source I would really appreciate it.pd.

It was made by Badger. Kooima has some aftermarket parts listed. I think there are a few other aftermaket sources out there, but not nearly in the quantities you find for NH and Deere.

we had one and it was a monster!!we had our 2805 on it with a three row corn head and would chop at 4 to 5 MPH with 10 to 12 foot corn. ran a steel fence post in to it and it broke one knife

I was wondering if you tried an Agco or Massey dealer at all. Some of the parts like gears and universal stuff on choppers are the same. If you got a good parts guy he can cross it over to a different part number or find something that is after market. Also is this a self propelled or a pull type chopper. I will see if I can get more information tomorrow. Never kwon Massey made such a thing until now.

The last thing we needed was new knives for the corn head.We got it at a massey dealer and said that they were the last ones in NA listed in their data base. They were so old, that they were protected with the old war time plastic, the green stuff that you peel off with a knife. How many years since manufacturers used that stuff? Thanks,pd.

That stuff is still in use in the machine tool industry. It's actually more like a wax, not plastic. Some of it just dries and is so old it seems hard like plastic.

Was this chopper made by massey or somebody else? If it was check with the company that built it. Lee

I'm not sure about this model but a few choppers were the same or built by Badger at one point.
