Hey, we have a Oliver Mid-west Harrowvator (spelling?) its about 10'to12' wide. It needs new shoes, and paint and other work, But after all this will it be worth it money wise? Otherwise my folks are sending it to scrap. Also we have a old Case Square Bailer, not sure of model or year, it has a seperate gas wisconsin engine on it. Is this one worth restoring is it worth any money? Other wise we are removing the Wisconsin engine and scraping the rest. (Hey a farm cant be sedimental in this economy) Mike

If I return it to good condition and fix it up, will it be worth anything, or just a mental accomplishment for myself? I would love to save it from the torch but I need a good reason... I will have pics up of the harrowvator ASAP. Mike

That baler would be a nice item to be able to take to antique machinery shows, very few people would ever have seen one.

The bailer is a 130 or 140 W as mine is, or T for twine. IT is an auto tie bailer, 2 wire or twine. I have one and it looks like that other than it has solid wheels. Mine is a 1960 model. Mine has Cases own 4 cyl air cooled engine. Mine works fine. Fix the engine if it needs it, make sure it is timed right. There is a tiny spring in a round thing that goes around in a circle and it causes the needels to come into the chamber and come back out. If that spring is weak or broke it can crash the needels There $150 ea. AND theres only 10 pairs left, so I was told a few yrs ago, Mine crashed 2 yrs ago and Ive forgot what caused it, but Ive got it timed right. Had a he ll of a time finding a new fuel pump for the engine, but finally found it in a tractor parts catalog for a JD tractor, Ive got a parts bailer that has a pto for it that I can switch across if I ever want to
