What's the difference between the 634 and 638 NH round balers? They make the same size bale, appears both were replaced by the BR730??

I don't have lit for this series.

How big of a tractor is needed for either?

I have a NH 638 and love it .I store all bales inside so they are easy to stack up to 14ft. high .
The manual says HP required is 45HP.I have run it with my JD 2155 but usually use my JD 4010 as it gets me up out of the dust.

A 60 hp tractor should play with a 634 or 638 baler.About the only difference that I can think of is that there is a shaft on the upper part of the balers,on the 34's,the bearings are on the inside of the metal, and on the outside on the 38's,making it alot easier to replace. If you take a good look at the newer BR balers, you will find that they aren't a whole lot different that the 6 series, mainly the side hood design, placement of the twine box ect..The main baler internals are mostly the same.Good balers.pd.
