I am new to owning a tractor, and have a lot to learn. I am considering the purchase of a backhoe for a 56-57 Ford 851(serial 10500). It is a transmission driven pto and a wagner front loader is attached. It is not a double clutch, and I don't know enough to know if I need to attach the backhoe to the tractor driven hydraulics and if I can do it with the loader on the tractor. Please be patient with me, because the only way I can learn is by identifying the need and then determining how to best achieve...so it is with this tractor. The tractor will be delivered within a week or so. Can someone provide a basic education about backhoes on these tractors? and provide insight or reference sources on how to understand hydraulics, hydraulic connections and attachments? I'm not afraid to start with basics and what may seem obvious questions/& answers to many, but I can use the help. thanks. tm
