Wife and boys got me one for my birthday last week. Says it is made to ASAE 3-point hitch specifications - sure fits nicely on the Oliver 550 and the AC D10 Series.

Apparently all of my stuff is worn out junk or my implements are not ASAE 3-point hitch standard. This dern thing does not seem to fit my implements :x
Bushhog NO GO - insufficient room between top pin on the 3pth A Frame and floating top link

Boom Pole NO GO - need adjustable top link

Disk Harrows NO-GO angle adjustment bar interferes with top pin hook

Plows HALF GO - fits one plow but not the other due to shoulder of lower lift arm pins - device appears to be to narrow.

Seems to me this thing is NOT a time saver but instead a marketing scheme  Anyone else got one? Do you like it?

I bought one from TSC and have the same problem. It is worthless with about all my 3 pt equipment. I built a 4' X 6' platform on mine just to get some use out of it. I use the platform to haul supplies when fencing, hauling small amounts of straw and hay, and other things around the place, even taking the grandkids on rides.

figure nothing you presently own will fit it. Then figure half day to a day modifying EACH implement. Then its not half bad

I agree, that is a good way to figure it. Even then I suspect that about half the time you`ll be pleasanty surprised and the other half, you`ll just be surprised.

I got a unknown brand of quick hitch thrown in when I bought my 1755 Oliver that measured out to ASAE spec's . It's the implements that are wrong . It comes to within a quarter inch of fitting but that's it . It won't fit on the 565 plow I have mostly due to the shoulders on the lower pins being wider than the hitch opening between the jaws and it won't come close to fitting on the Bush hog box blade . Both are Cat 2 . I'm going to see what I can do to make it fit one of these years ;-) . I'd really like to use it on the box blade for the extra weight and because that thing is a pain to hook up .

While there is an ASAE standard, it seems that a lot of people making smaller equipment either never heard of it, or can`t really understand it. For Cat. 1 a lot of things need some "minor" modifications to work with a quick hitch. If they are modified correctly it can work pretty well. It seems things are better with Cat. 2, but not 100% and I think it is still better yet with Cat. 3. Since so many 3 point things can be a real pain in the rear to hook up, I believe it is well worth the effort to modify them so they will work with your quick hitch. Boy I sure with the AC Snap Coupler system would have been the one that became the norm rather than the Fergie 3 point... so much easier to hook up!

I got the JD iMatch hitch when I bought a new shredder last year - best money I ever spent. That's their version of the quick hitch. It only takes about 5 seconds to hookup or detach, and I have had no problems in use. I sometimes store the shredded on a trailer that I put in a shed. I can back up onto the trailer, drop or pick up the shredder, and drive off without ever leaving the seat. Of course, I have to get off to hookup the PTO shaft, no getting around that.

The problem in using with other implements is that the configuration around the top part of the hitch - where the top link would normally attach. I'm going to have to modify some of my other implements slightly so that it will work, but I consider it well worth the effort.

I've got a cat 1 quik-hitch and it fits my 5 ft rotary mower, tiller and box blade. I only made minor alterations on top link pin location. It makes swapping implements much easier as my daughter can now do it. Tx Jim

Did the very same thing for a Cat. 2 hitch and it fits nothing.

Shep, you and Old are both right to an extent on the cat.1 equipment and a Quick Coupler. If the equipment wasn't made by Ford,JD,MF and few other Majors then THERE was NO standard. The rest were Will Fits.95-99% of all Cat.2 and Cat.3 made in the last 40+ yrs.was standard and now some marketing Genius saw a Buck to be made in the Cat.1 market.OLD as far as the Case Eagle Hitch,I have had a 830 since new and have never had a piece of Major Mfg.equipment that wouldn't fit on it or couldn't be adjusted in less than five min.to fit.No offence meant but that hitch has taken a bad Rapp for a long time, the only or main trouble was some PTO eguipment could have mounted better as far as the angle(PTO) when lifted.

Yep in theory there nice but in reality there like cases eagle hitch if its not just the right width your equipment will not work. I have looked at them a few times and figure it would be a waste of money to buy because only 2 maybe 3 things I have would fit

Never used a quick hitch. Been hooking up Cat-1 3ph since I was about 10 years old. No major problems. I had the most trouble with the Cat.2 fast hitch on my 706. I had to chain the plow to a tree so the arms would slide out. And had to have the plow backed into the tree to get the arms to slide in. Otherwise, good plow and good tractor.
